Kesher Committee

Sarah Woelz
Rabbis' Assistant

Kesher, in Hebrew means “connection.” Our Kesher committee, over 60 people strong, works closely with our rabbis to help each member of our community feel connected and supported, particularly at difficult times of transition.

The Kesher committee provides hospital visits,  home visits, and meals to those who are facing chronic or acute illness. In addition, our Kesher committee helps with a “meal of condolence” for those who are sitting shiva, and will offer a meal to new parents as well. The Kesher committee will also volunteer to help transport congregants to medical appointments, or provide a friendly phone call from time to time.
