Teen Education and Engagement

TEE is a meaningful, engaging, and relevant program for our post B'nai Mitzvah age students in 8th - 10th grade. It will meet monthly on Sundays 6:30 - 8:30 PM.  Please click here for the calendar.

We believe that a person's Jewish education is a life-long commitment. However, we recognize that the ways that teens build their own Jewish identity and relate to the history and values of Judaism, are different than when they were younger and continues to evolve as they grow. One important way that teens experience their Jewish identity is through relationships. With our post - B'nai Mitzvah teens, that is exactly what we plan to highlight.

Some of our Goals for our TEE program include:

  • Fostering the sense that learning is a lifelong endeavor for all ages and leads to a lifelong Jewish commitment on campus and beyond

  • Building an understanding of Jewish values and their connection to universal values

  • Cultivating Jewish and universal leadership skills

  • Deepening the understanding of what it means to be a Conservative Jew in the 21st century

We'll focus on the meaning behind what is happening in their personal and collective worlds. We'll create the space that connects our teens to each other, to the synagogue, and to other Jews in America and the world. We'll guide our students to be able to find Jewish resources independently when seeking answers to their questions. We'll cultivate their relationships with Israel, the land and the people, as well as giving them tools to engage in Israel advocacy and respond to anti-semitism.

It is our hope that your family and teenager will share these values and will partner with us by participating in our program. We look forward to learning and deepening our connection with your teens, in partnership with you.

Tuition for TEE is $250 and will include dinner from 6:30 - 7:00 PM, the best time and way to start our evening as a community. We can't wait to continue this journey with your teens. Please click here register them today.

Feel free to reach out to Elizabeth Bloch, Director of Education, Rabbi Heller or Rabbi Konigsburg should you have questions at any time.
