We are currently in a period known as "The Three Weeks." It began on Sunday, July 21 with the 17th of Tammuz, a fast day commemorating the day that the walls of Jerusalem were breached. It culminates with Tisha B'Av, the saddest day on the Jewish calendar, commemorating Jerusalem's destruction and many other tragedies that have befallen our Jewish people.

On Saturday evening, August 10, Erev Tisha B'Av, and the morning of Sunday, August 11, we will come together at B'nai Torah for services and learning to commemorate Tisha B'Av and the tragedies that befell the Jewish people.

On Sunday evening, August 11, we will join a community observance. One of the many tragedies that befell our people on Tisha B'av was the bombing of the AMIA Jewish Center in Buenos Aires. 25 years ago on that date, 85 people, most of them Jews, were murdered by Hezbollah terrorists, an Iranian proxy. We are still awaiting justice to this day. We will be joining together for services with Or Hadash, and then with many community organizations for a commemoration. For more information about the commemoration or to RSVP, click here.
