    B'nai Torah Knitzvah Group meets weekly on Sundays at 1:00 PM, Tuesdays at 10:00 AM and Thursdays at 7:00 PM. Knitters of all skill levels and ages are invited to participate in any and all knitting sessions throughout each month! Choose the day(s) that works best for you!   • WISE AGING - Monday, August 5, 2019 through Monday, October 7, 2019 from 7:30-9:00 PM

    Connect with Rabbi Judith Beiner and a peer group of individuals in our sixties and seventies as we process the experiences of our lives and explore more ways to enrich the years to come. You will be guided through reflective work that enables you to come to new understandings about your life, yourself and your values. The course will take place once a week for 2 months beginning on Monday, August 5 from 7:30-9:00 PM. The course is based on Rabbi Rachel Cowan and Dr. Linda Thal's book, Wise Aging: Living with Joy, Resilience and Spirit.   • RHYTHMS AND PURPOSES MELTON CLASS - Begins Tuesday, August 20, 2019 at 7:05 PM
    We are excited to be offering a new adult education opportunity for community members looking to explore the next chapter in your Jewish learning. Led by Rabbi Joshua Heller, Rabbi Hillel Konigsburg and Rabbi Judith Beiner 
    in partnership with the MJCCA Lisa F. Brill Institute for Jewish Learning/Melton School, the sessions will guide you through the cycle of the Jewish year and give you the tools to live the Jewish life you are interested in developing. Divided into two parts, "The Rhythms of Jewish Living" and "The Purposes of Jewish Living," the course delves into key Jewish questions about how and why, we as Jews, do what we do and believe what we believe. Click here to register.

    Rabbi Eliezer Diamond is the Rabbi Judah Nadich Associate Professor of Talmud and Rabbinics at The Jewish Theological Seminary. He is the author of many popular and scholarly articles, including "Holy Men and Hunger Artists: Fasting and Asceticism in Rabbinic Culture." Aside from his reputation as a scholar of Talmud and Rabbinic studies, he teaches widely on topics of prayer and personal spiritual development.     Kol Zimrah is a group of 6 professional a capella singers who will bring their love of Judaism, spirituality and prayer to B'nai Torah. Friday night and Shabbat morning, they will lead spiritually meaningful services and stay to lead the congregation in song, teaching us new melodies and bringing life to old ones. Saturday night, we will host a community-wide performance including those with special abilities from across the community. Save the date for Friday evening's Shabbat dinner sponsored by Sisterhood.
