  • CPR AND AED TRAINING COURSE - Sunday, October 6 at 2:00 PM
    Hebrew Order of David Lodge Carmel invites you to participate in a CPR and AED (Automated External Defibrillator) Training Course. After this course, you will be CPR Certified. The class is $20 per person, and space is limited. There will be snacks provided.

  • ADULT SUKKOT DINNER - Monday, October 14 at 7:00 PM
    Enjoy a special Adults Only brisket dinner in the Sukkah catered by Keith's Corner BBQ. This event will take place rain or shine. In case of inclement weather, the dinner will be held in the Social Hall. The price for dinner is $25 per person.

    After the seriousness of the High Holidays, this is an opportunity for our community to come together and celebrate. This is your family's chance to get up close and personal with the Torah, which is one of the most important elements of Judaism. Come as you are and just have fun!

    Rabbi Eliezer Diamond is the Rabbi Judah Nadich Associate Professor of Talmud and Rabbinics at The Jewish Theological Seminary. He is the author of many popular and scholarly articles, including "Holy Men and Hunger Artists: Fasting and Asceticism in Rabbinic Culture." Aside from his reputation as a scholar of Talmud and Rabbinic studies, he teaches widely on topics of prayer and personal spiritual development.   • SHABBAT IN HARMONY WITH KOL ZIMRAH - Friday, January 24 - Sunday, January 26, 2020
    Kol Zimrah is a group of 6 professional a capella singers who will bring their love of Judaism, spirituality and prayer to B'nai Torah. Friday night and Shabbat morning, they will lead spiritually meaningful services and stay to lead the congregation in song, teaching us new melodies and bringing life to old ones. Saturday night, we will host a community-wide performance including those with special abilities from across the community. Save the date for Friday evening's Shabbat dinner sponsored by Sisterhood.     Come dressed in your favorite sports paraphernalia and join us for a joyful and engaging Shabbat! Enjoy Shabbat songs, simple blessings, Shabbat-themed activities and a service in the Beit Midrash followed by Superbowl-themed snacks!

Community Programs and Events

  • LIMMUDFEST - August 30 - September 2, 2019
    LimmudFest brings together Jews from all different Jewish backgrounds, denominations, ages, and lifestyles in the North Georgia mountains. Each person creates their own Jewish experience by participating in workshops, discussions, art, music, food presentations, text-study sessions, and more. LimmudFest is a Labor Day-Weekend celebration of Jewish thought, arts, culture, and learning. Meet hundreds of Jews from all walks of life, backgrounds, lifestyles, and ages.
