congregational gan

The Congregational Gan is ready to break ground!  The raised beds will be delivered the week of June 21 and planting can begin soon after.  Come join this exciting project by

1. purchasing a bed to grow your own produce, herbs and flowers, 2. donating funds to sponsor one of the congregational beds to fulfill the mitzvah of feeding the hungry or 3. volunteer to tend and harvest produce for those in our community who are in need.  To purchase a bed - click here. 

Each raised bed is 3' x 8' and will contain 10" of soil and organic fertilizer plus it will have irrigation.  The gan will be pesticide free.  The price to purchase a raised garden is $275.00.  Make checks payable to B'nai Torah for a personal garden or to help sponsor a community needs garden.  To purchase a raised bed, checks need to be received by Friday June 18 to be installed the next week.

After the raised beds are installed, a representative from Farmer D will come and educate participants on season vegetables, plant selection, care and harvesting.  Watch for the date as everyone is invited to this educational meeting.
